It isn't clear whether these are rare, individual issues or if there are broader problems for all PC Game Pass subscribers. As Monster Hunter Rise makes its debut on Xbox and Windows PC, it’s been tweaked and improved for those new platforms. The issues are varied and include examples of game crashes, account restrictions, GPU support problems, and more focused technical issues like double keyboard inputs and co-op not working for cloud users. That theory may now be proven correct, as PC Game Pass users are reporting some frustrating issues with Monster Hunter Rise's launch on the platform. That means that PC gamers who have friends playing the Steam version of Monster Hunter Rise won't be able to play with them. One big point of frustration among PC Game Pass users leading into Monster Hunter Rise's launch for the subscription service is that Capcom chose not to implement cross-play with other PC players (or PlayStation, for that matter). Yet there have been inklings of issues with the Xbox app on PC's Monster Hunter Rise ports even before the game launched, and now those issues have come to fruition.
